Hull Residents Reject Neighbourhood Plan

by Paul Addison on September 25, 2018 No comments

Amongst accusations of poor consultation, Hull residents have rejected a neighbourhood plan.

For the Thornton area, 58% of residents voted against adopting the neighbourhood plan.

With 203 residents voting in favour of the plan, and 281 rejecting it, the turnout of the electorate was less that 18%.

Following residents complaining that they had received polling cards for the neighbourhood plan but no further information on what they were voting on, West Hull and Hessle MP Emma Hardy had requested for the ballot to be postponed.

At an examination in March the plan was passed.
