For a multimillion-pound town centre regeneration scheme, Countryside has been selected by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead as the joint venture partner.
The aim will be to redevelop the 6.3 hectares in Maidenhead that consists of the four council-owned sites.
According to the council, the redevelopment, in association with the arrival of the Elizabeth Line in the town will be producing income.
The council leader, Simon Dudley, said:
“With the Elizabeth Line arriving in 2019, we have a once-in a-lifetime opportunity to deliver an ambitious redevelopment programme right at the heart of the community.”
“The council will retain considerable control over how the sites are developed and is committed to providing high-quality homes, including genuinely affordable options for residents so we can build a borough for everyone.”
Before any planning applications are submitted, there will be discussions with detailed plans for each of the site.
By 2018, subject to consent, construction could begin.
